QHSE Manager Amsterdam

We are looking for a QHSE Manager to join our dedicated QHSE team headquartered in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up internal Safety inspections and audits.
  • Performing incident investigations and analysis.
  • Review safety documents, like SDS’es, procedures, manuals, etc.
  • Assist or lead the setup of safety procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with other QHSE managers on safety issues on other sites.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality systems by having ISO knowledge and experience in implementing them
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO guidelines.
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and specifications,  are up-to-date and easily accessible to employees.
  • Providing support for audits and inspections:
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during quality audits and inspections.
    • Investigate and respond to audit findings by implementing corrective and preventive actions.
    • Perform internal process audits to verify process compliance and adherence from users
    • Support departments to work on findings by offering analytical thinking and RC problem-solving skill such as 5 WHYs, Fish bone analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and implementation of CAPAs
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to quality improvement initiatives by using Kaizen methodologies.
    • Analyze data and trends to identify potential issues and proactively address them.

What do you bring?

This role is perfect for you if you have the following knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum HVK or a similar bachelor’s degree in a related field, focussing on Safety.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within chemical laboratories
  • Experience in occupational hygiene and occupational safety, preferably in the chemical industry, with background involving labs, preferably chemical labs.
  • Professional certifications occupational hygiene and occupational safety and Hogere Veiligheidskunde
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in conducting risk assessments, exposure monitoring, and occupational health surveillance programs.
  • Skills in identifying and assessing workplace hazards, implementing appropriate control measures and performing and assisting executing the RI&E (general RI&E, safety assessments, HAZOPs, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading occupational health and safety initiatives.
  • Experience with rewriting/editing/reviewing SOPs and Wis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and occupational health and safety software applications like Stoffenmanager.
  • Business level Dutch is advantageous
