EPBP dossier for monolayer PEF bottles with a market penetration of 2% and 5%
In this recycling study we assess the impact of monolayer PEF bottles entering the PET recycling stream. It contains the assessment towards plaques and into bottle application.
EPBP and RecyClass recycling evaluation of multilayer PEF/PET bottles
PEF can be used as barrier material in PET applications and as such it will end-up in the clear PET recycling stream. The impact of PEF, in a multilayer structure, on the quality of recycling has been evaluated according to the testing protocols of EPBP and RecyClass. The technical report that has led to the RecyClass approval and EPBP interim endorsement can be downloaded here.
APR Critical Guidance recycling evaluation of multilayer PEF/PET bottles
PEF can be used as barrier material in PET applications and as such it will end-up in the clear PET recycling stream. The impact of PEF, in a multilayer structure, on the quality of recycling has been evaluated according to the testing Critical Guidance Protocol of APR. The technical report that has led to the APR recognition can be downloaded here.
NTCP: Avantium – Sortability of PEF
A sorting study was conducted on different PEF applications to determine their sortability. In the study, PEF was sorted out to a separate PEF stream or included in the PET recycling stream.
